Air should be communally owned
From Argumentrix
This is an argument about property rights and pollution.
Supporting argument
- Air is a public good, and should be owned by the public. People could then elect committees to regulate pollution and prevent potential polluters from acting. [1]
- Air pollution drifts and affects many people, so individual property rights would not be workable. Only communal ownership makes sense. [2]
