Supporting arguments

People who are not saved when God judges them will be punished eternally. It is compassionate and desirable to help people avoid this fate by convincing them of the Christian faith. [1]

Matthew 28:19-20 commands Christians to spread their faith: "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things I have commanded you." [2]

Opposing arguments

While it is valuable for Christians to communicate their faith and their principles to others, it is neither necessary nor desirable to focus on convincing others of those beliefs. [3] [4]
