Supporting arguments

Polygamy is approved of in the Bible, and is therefore acceptable for Christians to practice. [1]

Titus 1:6 is a New Testament verse forbidding polygamy for Christians. [2]

Opposing arguments

Wilford Woodruff, president of the LDS Church, received a divine revelation in 1890, forbidding polygamy. [3]

Though there have been times that God commanded Christians to practice polygamy, that has not occurred in recent times. Plural marriages are forbidden in modern Christian doctrine. [4]
