| Heaven and Hell are in the same realm, in the presence of God, with the saved finding joy in his presence and the wicked suffering in it Hell is a physical place where sinners undergo eternal torment People possess souls

- Note: This position is called annihilationism.
Supporting arguments
It is not reasonable to think that God would be so cruel and merciless as to torture the unsaved for eternity. The only action consistent with God's loving nature is to totally annihilate the unsaved when they die. [1]
Adam, the first man, was made from nothing by God, and was told in Genesis 3:19 that he would return whence he came when he died. Thus, all humans will return to nothingness unless saved by God through salvation. [2]
Opposing arguments
As is taught by the Biblical understanding of The Way International, people who have not achieved Christian salvation will be annihilated during the Great Tribulation foretold in the Book of Revelation. [3]
People are first punished for an appropriate amount of time, based on the weight of their sin on their soul. The unsaved are then annihilated, having atoned for their crimes. [4]
Because souls are immortal, they can not be annihilated, even by God. [5]
- Related argument: Souls are immortal according to Christian doctrine.
